A Season of Re-Building
We must continue to respond to our Father's voice and disregard reacting to the devil's schemes. Nehemiah focused on rebuilding the wall while his enemies, Sanballat and Tobiah, made fun of, critiqued, and criticized his work, seeking to distract him from what God has called him to do. Nehemiah responded by saying,
"I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?" (Nehemiah 6:3).
Like Nehemiah's call to rebuild the wall, we, as the church (ekklesia), are in the season of recovery, regathering, rebuilding, and reenlisting.
God is doing remarkable things. He is rebuilding His church. He is regathering the saints. He is re-enlisting His people! Choose to hear from Heaven, and respond to the Father's voice. Refuse to be sidelined with distractions that would only serve to "bring us down" off the wall, delaying the "great work" of the Lord.
I'm not impressed with the devil, nor will I give him any more attention than I absolutely have to. My focus is on what Heaven is doing. I want to be deeply involved with His mission and be fully engaged in His plans. Refuse to be impressed with the devil's work, and his continual chatter to distract and discourage you.
You will always find encouragement and hope when you see what heaven is doing. Always!
Be reminded today that the Lord is with you, and sees you! His favor is on you! Continue to put your full trust and hope in God, and be a part of His great work.
